The 8U divisions still play small-sided games. Each team has 4-players on the field and no goal keepers.

Although an official referee is not required in the 8U divisions, we believe everyone enjoys the game more if we make sure there is one suitably certified (and registered/authorized) person responsible for a safe and fair game. As such, AYSO Region 144 requires a certified and registered volunteer sign-up for each game.

• For certified referees - If you are a certified referee, then all you need to do is send a note to the RRA to be added to the list.
• For individuals interested in getting on the list - If you are interested in getting trained and authorized to be an 8U game official, then click HERE to learn how to become an approved 8U game official list (if a certified referee) or to be helped through the process to register and get certified.
